The 32nd International Piano Competition

A press conference to mark officially the launch of the 32nd edition of the Roma International Piano competition was held on the 16th of October at the Protomoteca Hall of the Rome City Hall. Organized and hosted by Maestro Marcella Crudeli, the founder and the president of the competition and of the Fryderyk Chopin Cultural Association.

Madame Fabiola Paterniti from AINA National Association of Insurance Companies, Madame Sveltana Celli, President of the Capitol Assembly, Maestro Marcella Crudeli, General Carlo Mori, President of the Rotary Club Roma Ovest, Maestro Liliana Gallo, and Madame Nina Orenga de Gaffory, representing the Cuomo Foundation in Italy, were present to introduce the presentation.

More than 80 people gathered to learn about the competition's programme, including distinguished guests and classical music enthusiasts. The competition has once again attracted many young pianists from around the world to compete for a chance to triumph.

During the presentation, Maestro Crudeli emotionally recalled Mr. Alfredo Cuomo's memory, warmly expressing gratitude to the Cuomo Foundation for the outstanding partnership that has endured since 2004.

Over the past 30 years, more than 4,000 young talents from 80 countries have competed in the "Roma" Competition, making it an important milestone in a pianist's career.

Following the press conference, the talented Emanuele Savron (born in 1999) delighted the audience with a piano recital of some of L.V. Beethoven's, F. Chopin's, and F. Liszt's most beautiful pieces.
